Mercy has been the owner and operator of this well-known business for more than 20 years, making her place one of the first B&Bs in Cuba. She graduated with a degree in Information Science from the University of Havana and she has done post-graduate studies at the Institute of Scientific Academy in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Havana. She was formerly the director of the Center for Documentation and Creation of Scientific and Technical Databases. For ten years, she represented Cuba in the International System of Information, where she her specialty was logistics in regard to Eastern Europe.
Thousands of tourists have stayed from all over the world have stayed at her bed and breakfast. She speaks Spanish and English. Her college education in the field of communications makes her particularly skilled and adept when it comes to customer service.
